A new pellet plant is currently being built in ecbioenergy an der Wild in the Zwettl district and will begin operations in just a few weeks. ecbioenergy, a company of the, is investing around 15 million euros in the project. visited the construction site to gain an insight into the situation: “We want to take even greater control of our own energy supply , thereby strengthening as a business location and protecting our environment. We want to create and retain added value and jobs in the state, instead of transferring billions of euros annually to distant foreign countries for oil, gas, and nuclear power!”
With the new pellet plant, ecbioenergy is creating five jobs in the region; the company currently secures 500 direct and indirect jobs. “We work reliably, sustainably, and regionally. The new pellet plant will produce 80,000 tons of quality pellets annually,” says ecbioenergy Managing Director Hans-Christian , adding: “With our investments, we are saving around 137,000 tons of CO2 annually. This is a significant contribution to climate protection.”
